Domain Owners…. FRAUDULENT DOMAIN SUSPENSION NOTIFICATIONS are part of a massive phishing attack.

You may have heard that many high-profile domain registrars are being targeted by a massive phishing attack against domain owners.

We have received reports that some of those attacks are using Tucows /TPPinternet /Oceania  branded emails to possibly target some of our end users all over the world.

The fraudulent emails claim that a particular domain name (yours)  has been suspended and ask you to click a link. The address domainabuse@tucows.com.org is being used as “From” and “Reply-to” addresses.

PLEASE be extra vigilant of these fraudulent suspension notices as the virus contained in them is extremely destructive.

In case you receive any suspension email from tucows.com.org or domains@oceania.com.au:

  • Do not click any links
  • Do not reply to the email
  • Do not call any phone numbers listed within the email
  • DO CALL Oceania Support Desk 1300 301 990

We strongly encourage you to contact us if you are in any doubt about such emails. From time to time legitimate suspension emails are required to be sent and it is in your best interests to contact us for clarification.

If you have any questions or concerns about this issue, don’t hesitate to contact your  Oceania Support Team.
